What is Event Plan Review by Yvonne Wolf Events?

Event Plan Review is a professional, experience-based review of your event documents by Yvonne Wolf Events. It’s designed for clients planning independently who want an experienced event designer and producer to review details and provide feedback. This is not full-service planning or vendor management.

Why are Event Plan Reviews valuable — and why are they priced this way?

Event Plan Reviews are priced based on professional expertise, real-world experience, and operational insight. In some cases, personal familiarity with specific venues or venue types allows for even more informed guidance — often helping prevent costly or stressful issues before decisions are finalized.

How quickly will I receive my review?
​
Standard turnaround is 3-5 business days from document submission. Rush service (48 hours) is available for an additional $150. Note: Turnaround may be extended during peak wedding season (May-October). You will receive an email if there's a delay with your review.

What types of documents can I submit?
​
You may submit: • Vendor proposals • Catering and bar proposals • Vendor contracts • Venue contracts • Event timelines or runs of show • Production schedules for setup, management and tear-down • Floor plans or layouts • Guest-facing materials (menus, programs, signage). Each review covers one document or one defined set of materials, as outlined in the selected service.
What format should I submit my documents in?

File size limit: 25MB per load. For larger files, you may email them to hello@yvonnewolfevents.com. We accept PDF, Word documents (.docx), Excel spreadsheets (.xlsx), and images (PNG, JPG). Please ensure all documents are legible and complete.
How do I send you my documents?
After purchasing, you will be directed to fill out a quick Event Plan Review Intake form so we can better understand your event and once completed you will be able to upload your documents via the upload button at the bottom of the page. You’ll receive an email confirmation within 24 hours.
What will I receive after my review?
You’ll receive an executive summary of findings that may or nay not include specific recommendations, red flags, questions to ask vendors and more. The report format and details will vary based on your document and what we identify during our review.
Can I submit documents piece-meal?
Reviews are based solely on the documents submitted at the time of purchase. Additional documents or updated documents require a separate review.
Do you provide legal advice?
No. Our reviews provide professional event planning guidance and industry best practices only. We are not attorneys and do not provide legal advice. For legal review of contracts, we recommend consulting with a licensed attorney.
Can I ask follow-up questions after receiving my review?
Yes. Each review includes up to three clarification questions about our findings, submitted within 5 business days of receiving your review. These can be straightforward questions about our recommendations or requests for additional detail on specific points. If you’d like additional questions or discussions, optional add-ons are available.
What does “experience-based” mean?
Feedback reflects over 20 years of hands-on experience designing and producing events across a wide range of formats, venues and residences. This service focuses on real-world execution, logistics, and guest experience — not theory or templates.
Why not use a chatbot instead?
Chatbots can assist with general guidance, but they don’t have lived event production experience. This service offers real-world perspective, accountability, and context that automated tools can’t provide. In some cases, personal familiarity with specific venues or venue types allows for even more informed guidance — often helping prevent costly or stressful issues before decisions are finalized.
Will I have direct access to Yvonne Wolf or the team?
Yes. Unlike automated tools, you’re working directly with experienced event professionals. Your review is personally conducted by Yvonne Wolf or senior team members with 15+ years of production experience. We’re available via email for up to 3 clarification questions included in your review. You’re not just buying a report—you’re getting access to real people.
What if everything looks fine?
This is valid—and valuable—feedback. Confirming that your vendor has provided a thorough, professional document gives you confidence to move forward. Many clients tell us that the peace of mind alone was worth the investment. Remember: we’re reviewing based on hundreds of contracts and timelines we’ve seen over 20 years.
What if my vendor disagrees with your feedback?
Our feedback is yours to use as you see fit. We recommend clients use it as a private guide for their own negotiations and decisions. If you do choose to discuss our recommendations with your vendor, frame it as questions: “Can you clarify…” or “Would it be possible to add…” We respect our industry colleagues and are not here to critique but to help guide the client who is planning on their own.
What if I want to work with you for full-service planning after my review?

We’d love to explore that! If you decide to partner with us for full-service event design and production after receiving your document review, 100% of your review fees will be credited toward your planning services. Simply email us at hello@yvonnewolfevents.com to discuss transitioning to full-service support.
Is my information kept confidential?
Absolutely. All documents and event details are kept strictly confidential. We sign NDAs upon request at no additional charge.
Can I submit multiple documents at once?

Yes! Each document is reviewed and priced separately. We recommend reviewing all vendor contracts to ensure comprehensive coverage across your event.
What if I upload the wrong document or choose the wrong service?
If your document does not match the selected service, we’ll contact you before starting to confirm next steps or adjust scope.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) through a secure payment processor. Payment is required upfront before review begins.
Are refunds available?
Due to the professional time and expertise involved, all sales are final once a review has begun.
